As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Electronics and Communications or Computer Sciences.
Skills/Experience:
Experience: 3-8 years
Mandatory- Competent in C Programming.
Mandatory - Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.
Mandatory - Thorough in OS concepts (Threads, Synchronization, Memory Management etc.).
Mandatory - Independent, highly motivated, with good interpersonal skills.
Mandatory - Experience with communications protocols and host I/F such as TCP/IP, UDP, USB, PCIe, SDIO, UART et.
Preferable - Exposure to the WLAN technology , (IEEE 80211a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be/k/r/v… ).
Preferable - Experience with ARM micro-controllers.
Preferable - Experience with developing mobile products and protocols, WiFi, BT, Cellular, etc.
Preferable - Experience using other common programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python.
Responsibilities:
Provide software engineering solutions for development projects in the Wi-Fi Connectivity Group.
Work on WLAN firmware software stack, including interaction with multiple tech teams ( Wi-Fi MAC / PHY, PCIe/SDIO, PMIC, Power, etc ).
Designing and implementing software and firmware for WiFi and 802.11 MAC Level features at the MAC
Involvement in firmware architecture design, and system level requirements from top-level down to block level.
Involve debugging in different software environments and on hardware.
