Senior Assistant, Manager's Office Laboratory


Entity: Aga Khan University Hospital


Location: Karachi, Pakistan


Introduction:


The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Aga Khan University is a dynamic academic centre which serves the diagnostic needs of the country through its clinical laboratory services that spreads across Pakistan. AKUH’s Clinical Laboratory is College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited and caters to the need of the entire country through its tertiary lab at the main campus and 300+ specimen collection units and 13 stat labs across Pakistan.


The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine consists of five major sections namely Chemical Pathology, Haematology & Transfusion Medicine, Histopathology, Microbiology, and Molecular Pathology. Each section is academically driven and is highly engaged in research and undergraduate, postgraduate teaching and training.

Responsibilities:


You will be responsible to:


  • Arrange training sessions as per departmental requirements across Pakistan
  • Enroll staff for training programs
  • Develop and maintain training activities
  • Manage staff records and liaise with HR on hiring and other HR-related matters.
  • Assist team for conducting JCIA & CAP mock audits
  • Coordinate departmental meetings and write down meeting minutes.
  • Organize monthly meetings with training coordinators.
  • Assist in managing Clinical Laboratory Trainee Technologist Program
  • Manage day to day affairs pertain to trainee technologist in coordination with department training coordinator
  • Raise ETR and transport request as and when required.

Requirements:


You should have:


  • Graduate degree from a recognized university
  • 2-3 years of experience in reputable organization
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • The ability to make strong follow-ups as required.
  • Proficiency in use of computer software's especially MS Excel
