Aga Khan University’s Office of the Registrar in Pakistan is primarily responsible for student recruitment/outreach and admissions, maintaining the integrity of student academic records, maintenance of the University's database, convocation ceremonies, providing secretarial support to the academic committees and complying with the University’s academic quality assurance policies.

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Associate Registrar, you will be required to support the outreach activities and manage admissions related activities for the Office of the Registrar. You will be responsible for supporting and managing events, writing content and serving as a liaison between office and potential students.  


Specific responsibilities include:


  • verifying online applications and maintaining records of applications in the Office of Registrar’s student system for different programmes at different stages of the admission process est 
  • responding to queries of national and international students on telephone/ in-person and giving campus tours to potential candidates, as and when required
  • maintaining a data of school and colleges for outreach purposes and participating in outreach activities 
  • assisting in making reports and providing data of applications / admissions for analysis purposes and for presenting in Committees
  • assisting in the scheduling and facilitating of interviews and typing interview reports
  • assisting in updating manual application, stage II forms and other documents    
  • organising meetings, recording and writing of meeting minutes
  • recording and maintaining acceptance data of students for Medical College graduate programmes
  • assisting in organising different departmental events including participating in administering the admissions test

RequirementsYou should have:


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree
  • at least 2 years’ experience of working directly with young individuals preferably in an academic higher education system
  • experience of working in environments where there are tight time schedules and be able to meet short deadlines as and when required
  • strong interpersonal skills 
  • self-confidence and adequate experience of public speaking
  • immaculate English language skills - both written and verbal and the ability to proofread documents
  • the ability to be tech savvy with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Systems including EXCEL (knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will be an advantage)
  • the ability to travel within Karachi and other cities to represent the University in admission tests.
