The job in short
As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you are responsible for the review and booking of journal entries as well as balance sheet and profit and loss review. You run accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for the entities and prepare global monthly consolidation ensuring elimination and reconciliation of inter-company balances. You perform pre/post-closing journal entries, including reconciliations in the general ledger. It is your responsibility to drive continuous system and process improvements with close cooperation with global colleagues.
Meet the job
Financial Reporting:
● Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring
compliance with IFRS and local GAAP (as applicable);
● Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes;
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate timely audit completions;
● Ensure accuracy of intercompany eliminations and alignment with group policies;
Technical Accounting:
● Research and interpret IFRS standards for complex transactions, including
revenue recognition, business combinations, ESOPs, R&D etc;
● Draft technical accounting memos and provide guidance on accounting
treatments;
● Implement accounting policy changes and ensure consistent application across
the organization;
Compliance and Process Improvement:
● Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting;
● Streamline financial reporting processes, leveraging automation tools and data
analytics;
● Stay updated on new IFRS pronouncements and industry trends, advising the
management team on potential impacts;
● Review financial statements for partners, vendors and customers as a part of the risk management process.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
● Partner with cross-functional teams such as Tax, Treasury, business control and GL to provide insights and support strategic initiatives;
● Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and consultants as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification.
Experience:
● 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or audit;
preferably in a multinational environment;
● Big 4 experience is a plus;
● Proven expertise in applying IFRS standards to complex transactions;
● Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.
