Pavago is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to drive business decisions. You will be instrumental in managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and working closely with the management team to improve financial procedures and ensure the company’s fiscal health. Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Produce error-free accounting reports, present financial results, and analyze financial information to summarize the company’s financial status.
- Efficiency and Cost Analysis: Spot errors and identify ways to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce spending.
- System Review and Improvement: Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to optimize financial workflows.
- Forecasting and Goal Setting: Participate in financial standards setting, contribute to the forecasting process, and provide input into departmental goal setting.
- Financial Statements and Budgeting: Prepare timely financial statements and assist in the creation of the company’s budget.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with tax audits and tax return preparation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Audit Management: Direct internal and external audits, ensuring the company’s compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Process Documentation and Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaboration with Management: Work closely with the Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to enhance financial procedures and improve overall efficiency.

- Accounting Expertise: You have proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or similar role, with deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Financial Systems Knowledge: You are experienced with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and accounting software such as FreshBooks, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

- GAAP Understanding: You have a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and are committed to ensuring compliance across the company’s financial operations.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
A typical day for you will involve overseeing the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, and preparing for month-end and year-end close processes. You’ll also collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and recommendations, analyze financial data, and lead a team of junior accountants.
