About the job Senior Accountant

The organization is a full suite of e-commerce marketing and IT services, including market research, product listing optimization, paid advertising, brand management and more. In process of constantly expanding our capabilities to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of e-commerce. The goal is to provide our clients with everything they need to succeed in e-commerce marketing and sales.


This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who wants to roll up their sleeves and shape the future direction of a fast-paced, dynamic growth-stage e-commerce company.


Essential Functions


  • Accounts Receivable
  • Support AR specialist and function as the backup for AR job duty when needed.
  • Ensure monthly sales & use tax and GST tax are filed on time.
  • Accounts Payable
  • Ensure all payments are posted and paid on time.
  • Set up new vendors and maintain vendor W9 information
  • Monitor overseas AP clerk to ensure all invoice are processed on time.
  • Review AP aging weekly
  • Reconcile vendor statement as needed.
  • Handle all vendors communicating.
  • Close AP monthly
  • Closing and reporting
  • Assist to close the book on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Prepare all bank reconciliation, journal entries and reconciliation schedules.
  • Prepare property tax and 1099-MISC form.
  • Assist to prepare PBC files.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports.
  • Ad-hoc projects.
  • Cash
  • Maintain Petty cash
  • Weekly cashflow update
  • Download daily cash activities.
  • Other duties
  • Host office events
  • Office supplies order
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Bookkeeping for 2 other entities.

Qualifications & Experience


  • 5 years experience in GL/AP/AR.
  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting. CA is a plus.
  • Be a good time manager capable of exercising good judgment and confidentiality with the maturity to handle sensitive information and documents.
  • Possess Advance knowledge in Excel and financial ERP systems. MS Dynamic 365 system knowledge is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite of applications. Knowledge in Paychex Flex system is a plus.

Requirements


  • Be extremely detail oriented.
  • Handle confidential information properly.
  • Be capable of meeting deadlines and taking responsibility for producing reports and entering data as error free as possible.
  • Proficient in communication in English language to support international clients

Preferred


  • CA Certifications a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Dynamic 365 system a plus
  • Experience working in a professional services firm or working in a client service environment.
