The Team: The Commercial & Marketing Technology team is responsible for the strategic evolution of platforms, capabilities, frameworks,operational processes, management, and improvements of the Business Applications that drive S&P Global. Our Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for the architecture, planning, design, development, and implementation of the Marketing technologyplatforms for organization-wide needs.



The Impact:We are seeking a Marketo Solutions Technical subject matter expertwho will collaborate with enterprise partners and scrum teams, crafting customer-centric solutions with aclient-first mindset.This role will lead implementation and integration industry best practices for Marketo and Salesforce across instances, contributing to strategic planning, solution design,technical oversight, and execution of innovative solutions in existing and new enterprise systems. Utilize your technical project management skills to improve cross-divisional Marketo Automation platforms, delivering long-term business value to customers in a Scaled Agile environment within Digital Technology Services.

In this role, you will be working with a team of enthusiastic members supporting our Enterprise Marketing platform. 



  • You will be a techno-functional key leader for Marketowith a focus on providing and driving technical and strategic solutions for the business stakeholderswithin marketing automationin areas such as demand/lead generation, events, lead nurturing, lead scoring, and campaign management.

Responsibilities:




  • Manage end-to-end implementations and customizations of Enterprise Marketing projectsusing an Agile/SAFe approach with the Marketo platform.Deliver new features and functionality across all divisions with expertise and precision.



  • Serve as a Marketo functional/technical subject matter experton the Marketo capabilities, automation processes, deliverability, and marketing campaign best practices.



  • Responsible for leading and assisting in developing complex and custom solutions, helping with planning, technical build & execution.



  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Marketo lead architect to lead architecture projects.Understand functional requirements and work with cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and deliver solutions.



  • Lead the implementation and configuration of Marketo, ensuring proper setup,integration with other systems (e.g., CRM), and data management.Take charge of marketing automation audits, integrations, and rebuilds as part of a cross-functional team.Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions



  • Work closely with Release Train Engineer (RTE), peer Scrum Masters, andProduct Managementto design scalable solutions and optimize efficiencies and performance through Scaled Agile practices and values.



  • Develops relationships with internal customers, including Division level Product Owners, with the goal of a consistent implementation of Marketo across divisions, using Marketo best practices, to ensure that we leverage best-in-class solutions.



  • Researches and analyzes strategically relevant platform opportunities and makes recommendations on new technologies.



  • Identifies and resolves problems in platform usage to improve overall internal customer experience and standardizes across the enterprise.



  • Effectively communicating with product ownersto fully comprehend business challenges, define requirements, and oversee prioritizing user stories in the scrum backlog for solution design. Gather requirements, create user stories in AzureDevOps with clear acceptance criteria, and build solutions in Marketo.



  • Act as a reliable point of contact for solution design and project delivery teams. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. 



  • Work closely with the scrum team to establish timelines and ensure timely project deliveryand implementation of designed solutions using Marketo.



  • Provide guidance and facilitation to the team, effectively resolving issues, and handling merge conflicts with development staff.



  • Manage risks, mitigate impediments and blocking issues to the team’s progress, and negotiate dependencies within and across teams.



  • Playing a key liaison role during technology implementation, providing direction and requirements clarity, and testing new and enhanced capabilities, before releasing into production.



  • Efficiently plan and execute Marketo releases via Azure DevOps and Marketo automation, ensuring high-quality project delivery and adherence to approval processes.



  • Take ownership of the release process, documenting release issues, developing plans, and collaborating with RTEto enhance processes and automation.



  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness within Marketo by implementing best practices for data governance, segmentation, and deduplication.



  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation in the Marketo testing environment; support change management process, ensuring smooth integration of new functional improvements and enhancements into production, while optimizing business value.



  • Stay on top of new Marketo developments, latest industry trends, and best practices.Leverage this knowledge to providestrategic plansfor continuous improvements for our marketing automation capabilities in strategy, architecture, and processes




What We’re Looking For: 



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or experience, with an understanding of the financial services industry.



  • Minimum 5-7+ years of Marketing automation experience as a lead business analyst with advanced Marketo Architect/Admin capacity within an agile software development environment.



  • Practical knowledge of B2B marketing processes is a must.Strong expertisein designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions using Marketo, Eloqua, Salesforce, and complex integrations with experience in solution design, development, configuration, testing and deployments



  • Strong technical skills required, including deep knowledge of Marketo's technical infrastructure, API integrations, system performance, and bug handling.



  • Strong understanding of Marketo/SFDC custom objects, Customer data-mapping, Marketo/SFDC syncing features/functionality, Marketo integration with Salesforce, Lead generation and tracking, Marketo Webhooks,and Marketo API functionality and user management



  • Proven expertisewithMarketo  integrationsand various data sources working with third-party solutions/integrations across digital channels like LinkedIn, CVENT, and Drift to ensure integrations fit with current architecture and CRM systems (Salesforce is a must).



  • Proficiency in Marketo lead management (lead generation, lead scoring, lead nurturing, lead validation/enrichment programs), process optimization,customer database management, customer lifecycle, data standardization/normalization, data integrity/cleanliness, online and offline channels, smart lists/campaigns, reporting, and advanced program setup, etc.



  • Demonstrate expertise in gathering and consolidating business requirements, writing user stories with strong acceptance criteria using AzureDevOps, and be able to clearly articulate strategies/capabilities.



  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively convey complex technology concepts to cross-functional teams(verbal, written, and presentation skills with active listening at all levels).



  • Must possess strategic thinking capabilities alongside analytical and reasoning abilitiesto lead cross-functional teamsand havea proven track record of executing plans with attention to detail, while surpassing client expectations and achieving project goals.



  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionallywithout direct supervisionworking towards goals of data transformation, data integration, campaign creationwith extensive testing and end-to-end user support needs in Dev, UAT and PROD, including in high-pressure situations.



  • Highly adept at leading change and managing complex projects, with strong skills in project management, organization, problem-solving, and time management.Exhibit strongbusiness maturity, adaptability, and the ability to work well with diverse personalities.



  • Experience working effectively in a dynamically developing environment with large, global teams.Skilled in fostering self-organizing, high-performing teams through servant leadership, individual coaching, and mentoring.



  • Ability to clearly bring together and document software requirements, resolve conflict through arbitration, negotiation, reasoned discussion, or critical issues.



  • Proficient knowledge of Agile Execution tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) and best practices for software development lifecycle (SDLC).



  • Deep knowledge of and passion for Agile and SAFe methodologies, tools, and best practices including Agile metrics and reporting techniques.



  • Desire to continuously learn and upskill with a positive attitude to keep up with the evolving customer experience ecosystem and modern technologies.



  • Open to working flexible hours as per business needs.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Intermediate or advanced technical experience with custom integrations that utilize the Marketo and Salesforce APIs/integrationsat the enterprise level



  • Ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously. Must be willing to shift gears, solve problems, synthesize ideas, and listen to changing needs.



  • Expert in HTML and CSS with strong background of designing Marketo templates using a modular approach and digital marketing channels like SaaS website development



  • Prior experience as a Scrum Master in the Agile or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) framework is a plus.



  • SAFe Scrum Master (SCM) or Advanced-SCM or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) is a plus.



  • Certifications: Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) and Salesforce Certified Administrator is required
