About the job Sales Officer

Job Summary:
The Sales Officer will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth in the logistics. This role requires a proactive approach to understanding client needs and offering tailored logistics solutions, including air, sea, and land freight services. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the logistics industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Business Development:
  • Identify and target potential clients in need of freight forwarding services.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing business.
  • Research and analyze market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to address any client concerns and offer additional services as needed.
Sales Planning and Reporting:
  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales plans to meet revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client information, and revenue forecasts.
Quotations and Proposals:
  • Prepare and present customized freight solutions to clients, including cost estimates and service packages.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close sales.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate with finance for invoicing and account management, ensuring all services are billed accurately and on time.
Market Knowledge and Competitor Analysis:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor services, and pricing to offer competitive solutions.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback and market insights to improve service offerings.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales within the logistics/freight forwarding industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes (air, sea, and land freight).
    • Proven track record in meeting sales targets and generating new business.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
