Pavago is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our client’s team by scheduling qualified appointments. This role involves proactively reaching out to potential clients through calls and email follow-ups, with the goal of generating high-quality meetings for our team and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Client Outreach and Networking: Conduct a high volume of outbound calls to potential clients, introducing the company's services and identifying their needs for further discussion with senior leadership. Focus on prospecting and networking with key decision-makers (e.g., Presidents, Provosts, Vice Presidents, Deans) in higher education institutions.
- Lead Qualification and Meeting Scheduling: Qualify leads through direct outreach, including phone calls and email campaigns, and prioritize them based on their potential to benefit from our services. Actively engage prospects in conversation to understand their challenges and needs, working to convert them into qualified leads ready for a meeting.
- CRM Management and Reporting: Maintain and update CRM with call notes, meeting outcomes, and new opportunities. Track the progress of outreach efforts and report on key metrics, including the number of calls made, meetings scheduled, and overall pipeline development.
- Collaboration and Strategy Alignment: Attend regular meetings with the Managing Partner to discuss progress, share insights, and align on outreach strategies. Develop an understanding of our company’s services and value propositions to effectively communicate with prospects.

Required Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a business development, sales, or lead generation role, ideally within the higher education or B2B space.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Nutshell preferred, but any CRM experience is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with senior leadership.
- Ability to think strategically and tailor outreach to the specific needs of potential clients.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to networking and lead generation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of the higher education landscape is an advantage but not required.
What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
Each day, you’ll start by reviewing your CRM dashboard and organizing your outreach tasks. You’ll make outbound calls to prospects, introducing the company’s services and qualifying them for meetings with the Managing Partner. Once appointments are scheduled, you'll confirm the details and update the CRM with call notes, meeting outcomes, and new opportunities. Throughout the day, you’ll attend a morning check-in with the Managing Partner to discuss strategy and pipeline updates. You’ll also conduct research on new prospects to build your lead list, ensuring you have relevant contacts. Follow-up emails will be sent to confirm meetings and ensure all information is accurate. As you work, you’ll track your progress, continuously update the CRM, and adjust outreach strategies as needed to stay aligned with goals and maximize efficiency.
