Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- To attend core courses of the community medicine residency program’s core curriculum
- Under supervision get involved in research related tasks and to seek solution to public health issues in Pakistan (make field visits to study sites for research activities)
- Survey designs and study methodologies (by assisting in research studies)
- Core computer software programs and techniques of valid data management.
- Be able to conduct analysis under supervision on available data sets
- Participate in field activities regarding public health related issues (for e.g. polio campaign)
- Conduct OPD, perform assessment, document and follow-up of out-patients at primary care level, under supervision (at squatter settlements as per department’s requirement)
- Take part in project related report writing and presentations
- Take part in out of station field activities related to research and interventions
Requirements:
You should have:
- MBBS from the PMDC recognized institution
- One year house job / 1 year experience in public health is preferred but not required
- The RMO should know:
- health and other related needs of a population
- the major existing health issues, especially of Pakistan and developing world
- health programs and their planning / or other strategies to deal with these needs, concerns, and issues
- social, economic and political realities and their relationship to health
- ethical principles related to public health
