Introduction:The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. Enroll patients for ongoing research studies, organize data gathered, and maintain records for different research projects. Specific responsibilities include to:ensure proper identification and registration of patients as per study protocolsupervise and monitor timely visits of participants for follow upsmonitor and report protocol deviations develop SoPs and manual of operation for study activities.provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of studyensure the completeness, proper filings, and archiving of the datadevelop and implement QA QC plan with documentation and reportingpreparation and compilation of study progress reportin collaboration with the Data Manager, prepare monthly project reportspresent the study results as per the requirementto develop high quality research proposals for funding agency; conduct research and actively contribute in publications. Requirements: You should have:a MBBS/ BDS or MSc. In Epidemiology and Statistics / MPH / MSPH/ Master’s in HPM or equivalent qualifications.preferably with additional certification and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices.at least 3-4 years of experience of managing research studies, supervision of data collection, ,analysis and drafting manuscripts expertise in training teams according to study protocol willingness for frequent travel to different locations for overseeing quality assurance of departmental research projects and training of local staff;highly organized and self-motivated;excellent interpersonal communication skills;ability to work independently and in team;integrity and strong research ethics;excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;strong computer skills; Microft Word, Excel etcexcellent academic writing skillsgood analysis skills on SPSS, STAT, R etcComprehensive employment reference check will be conducted.
