Research Specialist, Community Health Sciences

Introduction     

The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health, and Non-communicable diseases & mental health.

Responsibilities           

You will be responsible for:

• design and implement a research study to evaluate the AI-based digital learning platform
• conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings to identify best practices
• analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and gaps
• collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and requirements
• prepare research reports and presentations for the project team
• monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the platform and recommend improvements
• ensure the platform is culturally appropriate and tailored to the target audience
• stay updated on the latest research in immunization, AI, and digital learning

Requirements             

You should have:

• a Master’s or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, or Social Sciences or equivalent
• at least 3 years of experience of public health related research work, including analysis and report writing
• proven experience in conducting research, particularly in health or education-related projects.
• strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• experience with AI or digital learning platforms is desirable
• expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods
• familiarity with immunization programs and healthcare systems in Pakistan
• strong communication and presentation skills
• proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, STATA, or R)
