Job Role / Responsibilities:

The candidate will supervise project activities from field to data management to ensure quality control and maintain good working relationship with staff, community and stake holder. He/she will assume overall responsibility for the preparation of protocols and data collection instruments/questionnaires, finalization of monitoring and data management options, Ethics committee approval, development of recruitment strategies to increase patient randomization into the study/trial, the provision of clinical trial materials, and management of the trial.

You will be responsible to:

• Review and synthesize the literature as per the study requirement
• Work on formation of research designs and qualitative tools as per the requirement of research study
• Design the research themes and guides to be used for the conduct of research
• Ensure proper conduct of FGDs and IDIs for data collection according to the protocols of research project
• Supervise the transcription and translation of data collected
• Provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study
• Analyze the qualitative data collected and prepare the study progress reports accordingly
• Present the progress reports on the meetings as per the decided timelines
• Preparation and compilation of study progress report and manuscript development as required
• To develop high quality research proposals for funding agency; conduct research and contribute in publications.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

• MBBS with MSc. in Epidemiology and Statistics / MPH / master’s in HPM/master’s in nutrition or any other relevant field would be preferred
• preferably with additional certification and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices
• Two to Three years of experience in community-based research
• relevant experience of publications
• experience in training teams in evaluation and interventions
• willingness for frequent travel to remote locations for overseeing quality assurance of departmental research projects and training of local staff
• highly organized and self-motivated

• proven mixed methods research skills
• ability to work in teams
• integrity and strong research ethics
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
