The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational units: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health, and Non-communicable diseases & mental health.
This is a grant-funded, short-term part-time contractual position.
Job Role / Responsibilities:You are required to:
- supervision and monitoring of project activities and logistics
- quality control of data collection
- assist PI/Co-PI in data management, analysis and scientific writing
- in consultation with the study PI/Co-PI, correspondence with the stakeholders
- maintaining rapport with stakeholders for smooth implementation of the study
- support PI/Co-PI in the smooth implementation of the study across all study sites
- liaison with the local stakeholders in consultation with the study PI/Co-PI
- development of content for an app on mental health for adolescents
- training of research team for data collection
- any other task assigned by the study PI/Co-PI
- progress report writing
- DRC/ ERC / NBC approvals
- documentation of all projects and maintain record of official documents.
- organize all field activities under supervision of PI and Co-PI
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have:
- MBBS/BDS with valid PMC license
- MSc Epidemiology and Biostatistics/ Master of Public Health
- preferably one year experience of research project management particularly in the area of digital health interventions, mental health projects for adolescents, schools-based interventions
- excellent verbal and written command of the English language, and ability to produce
- high-quality project reports/presentations for stakeholders and the funding agency
- proficiency in the use of related computer software packages and digital data collection
- good analytical skills, critical thinking, and reasoning
- excellent literature search, and scientific writing skills
- good management and organizational skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in teams and be a good team player
- ability to meet deadlines and handle diverse tasks simultaneously using prioritization and delegation
- skills of content development of mobile applications for behavioral intervention
- development of digital intervention skills
- ability to coordinate with various teams including digital team of engineers for smooth implementation of the study
