Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.
You will be responsible to:
• collect, process, and manage research data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity• effectively manage fieldwork processes to ensure efficiency• participate in patient recruitment, screening, and follow-up activities• fill the e-CRFs, ensure accurate data collection. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings• work closely with clinical investigators, sponsors, and other team members to resolve queries and manage data• will do home visits and teach the research participant to prepare the Nutritional milk supplementation• train and supervise junior staff, ensuring adherence to clinical trial protocols and standards• ensuring field implementation of project-related SOPs and deadlines as defined in the research project• perform all other duties assigned from time to time by the Manager/research specialist in connectionwith the research projects• check the dashboard of the study regularly to ensure the due visits• check the data completion and quality.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
You should have:
• MBBS degree from a recognized institution • two to three years of relevant work experience in managing community-based projects• team management experience is required. Work on Maternal and child health, particularly dealing with breastfeeding, is desirable.• strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical research protocols• strong communication and interpersonal skills• the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment• attention to detail and strong organizational skills• willingness to work on peri-urban field sites.
