Position: Research Associate, Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies

The Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies (CETE), collaborates with the Aga Khan Development Network partners, global academic institutions, public and private sectors, and funding agencies to champion multidisciplinary research and strengthen trauma and emergency systems, disaster preparedness, and emergency responsiveness, primarily in Pakistan and the rest of the developing world. This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
support the coordination and logistics of field activities related to community engagement
attend community engagement workshops and meetings
liaise with community mobilizers to ensure smooth communication and workflow
provide weekly updates using a reporting sheet to track progress
assist with contact-tracing efforts as part of ongoing field activities
compile and consolidate reports on field activities and outcomes
maintain and organize field study documents and materials
assist with data entry and ensure proper uploading of data into relevant systems
support transcription and translation tasks as needed for field operations
help with sample and data collection, including follow-up activities
contribute to participant recruitment efforts for the study
administer questionnaires in both households and health facilities.
Requirements:
You should have:
bachelor's in Sociology, Psychology, or Social Science from a reputable institute
knowledge of health systems, trauma, and emergencies, or (preferably more than one of these subject areas)
a proven track record in collecting data
a minimum of two years of working experience in collecting field quantitative and qualitative data
experience in using RedCap and other electronic data collection tools
good verbal and written communication skills
knowledge of research on human subjects and related research ethical issues
ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
experience in transcription and translation (desirable)
experience in engaging with multiple stakeholders, including laymen, healthcare workers, and policymakers.
