Job Summary:
The Asset Recovery Officer at Foodpanda oversees and ensures the retrieval, tracking, and management of company-issued devices (such as POS Devices or, smartphones) provided to restaurants and partners. This role involves close coordination with partners, internal teams, and third-party courier companies to maintain security. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing asset recovery with strong partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Device Recovery & Retrieval:
Manage and execute the recovery of company-owned devices from partners who no longer require or are authorized to use them.
Coordinate with local commercial teams to ensure timely retrieval of devices in compliance with company policies.
Implement effective processes to manage and track device status, including retrieval and asset reconciliation.
Asset Tracking & Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all company devices, ensuring all assets are logged in the inventory system.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of device records to verify current status and location.
Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory to management for corrective action.
Reporting & Documentation:
Generate regular reports detailing asset recovery rates, device statuses.
Ensure that all device retrieval efforts are documented, including communication logs with partners.
Prepare analyses and recommendations to improve device management and reduce asset loss.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in asset recovery, device management, logistics, or a similar role, preferably within a tech-driven or logistics-focused company.
Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation skills to handle stakeholder interactions professionally.
Proficiency in inventory management and asset tracking software.(Salesforce is a plus).
Basic understanding of data analysis for reporting and auditing purposes.
Knowledge of loss prevention and risk mitigation practices.
Competencies:
Attention to Detail: Ensures precision in tracking, documenting, and managing device assets.
Organizational Skills: Effectively manages multiple recovery processes and maintains an accurate inventory.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues related to asset retrieval and partner coordination promptly.
Technical Proficiency: Familiar with inventory tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of Compliance: Basic understanding of legal and compliance issues around asset retrieval and repossession.
Integrity: Upholds ethical standards and company policies in all asset recovery efforts.
