What do we want?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled QA Regression Tester to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for executing regression test plans, analyzing test results, identifying issues, and ensuring that new software updates or bug fixes do not negatively affect the existing functionalities. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to maintain the integrity and stability of our software products.
Role and Responsibilities
Regression Testing: Analyse test requirements, Plan, design, and execute regression test suites to verify that software changes do not introduce unintended side effects.
Test Execution: Perform manual and/or automated regression testing to ensure the stability and functionality of software releases. Understand the reason for any failures and report on them. Provide statistics on expected and actual test coverage.
Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and report bugs, issues, and defects using a tracking system (e.g., Jira).
Automation: Where applicable, create and maintain automated regression test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage (e.g., using Virtuoso, or other suitable test automation products such Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
Test Case Maintenance: Update regression test cases to reflect new features, enhancements, or changes to the software.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and other QA engineers, to understand requirements and help drive quality improvements.
Documentation: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Root Cause Analysis: Assist in analyzing issues and identifying root causes to provide feedback to development teams.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies and provide recommendations for improvements in the QA process.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of QA experience.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Experience with both manual and automated testing processes.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to articulate test results, issues, and feedback.
Team player with the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Nice to Have:
Any Non-Functional Testing Experience like Performance, OAT, etc.
SAP experience
Use of Jira for defect logging
