Acumen Pakistan is looking for a Program Associate with at least 5 years’ experience who will be focused on managing the Acumen Academy Foundry, our alumni community of social innovators, and leading on communications for our leadership work in Pakistan. This role will be based out of Islamabad.

The detailed Job Description for the Associate, Foundry:
The Associate (Foundry) will be responsible for building and managing the infrastructure to increase the engagement and impact of the 200+ Foundry Members (Social-Entrepreneurs, Public Sector Leaders & Social-Intrapreneurs) across Pakistan, including the governance model, infrastructure, programs, spaces and communication channels. We want to take the number of organizations in the Foundry to create systemic impact through collaborations within 5 years assuming we begin interventions with the social-innovators when they are at early-stage. We want to build a connected community of leaders with a shared commitment to each other and Acumen’s mission.
Key accountabilities include:
Design and nurture a community space: Develop gathering spaces, workshops and convenings addressing different needs of the community. We aim to engage 70% of our community through these spaces where social-innovators often find key partners and friends.
Manage the Foundry data and insights: Manage a process to regularly collect and maintain up-to-date data (including stories, generic information, annual reports) and co-build insights that showcases the story of The Foundry’s impact.
Establish and manage partnerships: Work closely with existing partners and build new partners to circulate opportunities towards funding, fellowship, awards and curated stories that inspire learning, leadership and rigor.
Manage the communication channels: Activate existing communication channels with our weekly newsletter showcasing relevant opportunities, highlighting curated Foundry stories and showcasing social innovators. Beyond this, the expectation is to have an active involvement in WhatsApp channels with these communities.
Unlock insights from the Foundry: In partnership with the team, establish and manage a process to regularly check-in with members of the Foundry deep-diving into their interventions and long-term goals along with understanding their challenges. It is expected to connect with 200+ social innovators in a year to do this.
Qualifications and skills:
This role reports to the Program Lead for Acumen Academy in Pakistan and will collaborate closely with colleagues across Acumen.
