About the role

As a Product Designer you'll be leading the design excellence in a critical Bazaar domain, blending strategic vision with tactical expertise. You'll be mentoring a high-performing design team, fostering collaboration and growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Own the design process for a specific problem space within a key Bazaar domain, leading both strategic and tactical design decisions with a user-first mindset.
  
• Lead and mentor the product design team, providing guidance to junior designers and cultivating a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand and validate problems, driving solutions through innovative, user-centered design.
• Conduct and lead user research, gathering insights and evaluating feedback to continuously refine and enhance designs, ensuring they align with user needs and expectations.
• Embrace a user-centered, iterative design approach, rapidly testing and refining ideas to stay agile and responsive to evolving challenges.

You must have

• A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in product design fundamentals, user research, and experience leading design teams or initiatives. Preference for shipped products as well as conceptualizations backed by user research.

• Proven experience in designing consumer products across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and Web.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative environment- incorporating feedback, launching quickly, setting metrics for success, and learning from post-launch results.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design & testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability & accessibility issues.
• Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to apply them effectively to inform design decisions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of designers while collaborating with cross-functional partners.
