As a Product Associate in the Home Lending product team, you play a crucial role in supporting the product development process and contributing to the discovery of innovative solutions that address customer needs. Working closely with the product management team and cross-functional partners, you contribute your skills and insights to help ensure the success of our product offerings. Job Responsibilities
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery.
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience.
- Supports the collection of user research, journey maps, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers.
- Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including volume, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle.
- Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development.
- Defines and presents strategy for features, writes epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and participates in all agile events of the product group as a team member.
- Manages existing product features and actively leads the research, definition, and development of new features to advance the product roadmap.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, project management, or a relevant domain area.
- Developing knowledge level of the product development life cycle.
- Exposure to product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition.
- Emerging knowledge of data analytics and data literacy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-directed.
- Collaborative and a high level of comfort and effectiveness in coordination roles; working with multiple business and technology partners to drive transparency in project deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong understanding of US Mortgage drivers with some understanding of broader business context.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written (able to effectively communicate/influence through various levels in the organization).
- Sharp analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience in product management focused on technology products is an advantage.
