Job Brief: We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Web who will be responsible for building and implementing new web applications, pages, and sites; their integration and writing powerful client-side solutions using web-based frameworks. Design, develop, and maintain dynamic, high-performance web applications.
Develop and integrate RESTful API services to support robust, scalable solutions.
Apply Agile development methodologies to implement cutting-edge web technologies and platforms.
Write high-quality, maintainable code with comprehensive unit test coverage.
Focus on automation and continuous delivery, leveraging tools like Github actions, Bitbucket pipelines, or similar CI/CD solutions.
Provide accurate time and effort estimates for projects while mentoring the team on estimation techniques.
Collaborate with project leadership to define milestones, delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery of key project components.
Mentor and develop junior developers, enhancing both their technical expertise and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
9+ years of hands-on experience in building complex applications with backend services.
Proficiency in modern JavaScript, and Typescript.
Experience with the MEAN or MERN stack.
Strong understanding of ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) and relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack, Babel), linting tools (e.g., ESLint), and testing tools (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
Solid experience with HTML/CSS and frameworks like AntD, Tailwindcss, and Material UI.
Deep knowledge of software design patterns and best practices (e.g., coding standards, naming conventions, reusability, performance, security).
Proven experience with version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to development standards.
