Responsibilities
The Load Master will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo from ships
Ensure that all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently.
Work closely with the ship's crew (Breakbulk vessels, port authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate the process.
Be responsible for ensuring that all relevant regulations and safety standards are adhered to.
Manage the loading and unloading of cargo using cranes, conveyor belts, or other equipment.
Verify cargo quantities and maintain accurate recordkeeping throughout the operation.
Laison with the transport team to ensure the right sort of vehicle is placed for the right dimensions and type of cargo.
Laison with the Clearing agent to ensure all documentation is in place to clear the cargo from port.
Laison with the trade team to ensure that the vessel arrival is on time and that all documentation related to vessel berthing is in place.
