Qualifications in Occupational / Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Safety Science, or a related field.
Certification as a practicing occupational / industrial hygiene professional, from a recognized industry certification system (e.g. CIH, ROH, COH, etc.)
Experience
Experience (typically 7-10 years) in an occupational hygiene, environmental health or health and safety role, preferred or in part in a mining or industrial environment.
Strong experience with exposure monitoring and environmental sampling in areas such as noise, respirable dust, chemicals, heavy metals, and thermal stress is essential.
Strong experience with conducting and developing workplace assessment inspections, in busy and challenging environments.
Experience working on construction, commissioning, or operational sites is highly desirable.
Requirements
Proficiency with occupational hygiene monitoring equipment, including noise dosimeters, personal air sampling pumps, calibrators, thermal stress measurement equipment, and other relevant instrumentation.
Proficiency in undertaking analysis on collected water samples, either in the field or in a controlled environment.
Data and information analysis skills, including the ability to interpret monitoring / workplace assessment results and prepare comprehensive reports, with relevant, specific guidance of value, where necessary using industry endorsed statistical tools.
Working knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ACGIH) is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse workforce. Abilities in Urdu and English languages essential. Candidate with ability to converse in Balochi will be an added advantage.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on health risk management.
Strong leadership skills, to support in the leading and management of a critical program.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
