Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting the division of nursing services in the governance, strategic and operational tasks, contributing to overall processes and work strategies. Your goal will be to optimize nursing care delivery by improving clinical workflow efficiency, enhancing patient care quality, implementing evidenced based practices, integrating technology and supporting data-driven decision-making.
You will be responsible to:
- Conducting unit rounds and performing audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Calculating and monitoring unit wise nursing staffing based on occupancy as per bench marking for on campus, off campus and outreach
- Developing and implementing processes to enhance clinical operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement and translate into quality projects
- Collecting data, preparing, reviewing, and managing documents, reports, and presentations and tracking progress on various projects and initiatives.
- Ensuring effective communication of important information and updates from the CNO office to relevant teams, coordinating activities and events, acting as a liaison within the division and other departments, staff, and external stakeholders
- Providing clinical and administrative support to nursing teams as directed by the CNO.
- Assisting with recruitment processes, onboarding new management staff, and maintaining personnel records.
- Supporting or leading special projects or initiatives as directed by the CNO.
- Maintaining records, and other information systems used by the CNO office, managing dashboards, ensuring efficiency and troubleshooting
Requirements:
You should have:
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & LICENSURE
- Current registration from Pakistan Nursing Council
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited degree program, preferably MScN
- Diploma in Midwifery, preferred BScM
- Certification in:
- Basic Life Support Instructor
- Advanced Life Support Certification
- Leadership & Management training
- Project Management
- Quality & Patient Safety certifications
- SafeCare Assessor Certification Course (preferred)
- Around 10 years of nursing experience with preferably 5 to 7 years of nursing administrative experience
- Clinical expertise with in-depth understanding of nursing practice, patient care standards and clinical protocols
- Healthcare administration understands organizational behavior, resource management and financial management. Leveraging technology use and understanding of data and digital health tools.
- Leadership and communication, ability to inspire, motivate and mentor nursing teams having strategic thinking and operational tactics.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Knowledge of people management including mentoring, motivation, and conflict resolution
- Ability to sort through complex issues, make appropriate, timely decisions, and communicate decisions to others.
- Familiarity with care coordination models, principles, and best practices aimed at improving care transitions, enhancing patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.
- Facilitate a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
