The Nurse Informaticist plays a crucial role in ensuring the clinical effectiveness of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for nursing workflows. Reporting to the Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) and Physician Director, this position is tasked with integrating clinical expertise with health information technology to optimize nursing workflows, enhance patient care, and support the implementation and optimization of the EHR system.
The Nurse Informaticist will work closely with nurses, physicians, residents, students, and ancillary departments to develop and implement EHR content and workflows. This includes coordinating with the IT department to build and configure clinical documents within the EHR, ensuring accuracy and usability for nursing documents and workflows. Responsibilities also encompass leading clinical workgroups, mapping future-state workflows, conducting system testing, providing end-user training, supporting Go-Live, and driving post-implementation optimization.
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Informaticist will play a pivotal role in our EHR Programme team, focusing on maximizing the clinical effectiveness and operational efficiency of our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. The Nurse Informaticist will be responsible for supporting and enhancing EHR functionality, improving nursing workflows, and ensuring the effective integration of EHR systems into everyday clinical practice.
