About the job MIDDLE MANAGEMENT POSITION PROCUREMENT & SERVICES

COMPANY OVERVIEW


Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies for effective procurement of Goods
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
  • Supervise and carry out project-based Pre-qualifications to enhance Company's vendor base
  • Review assigned Purchase Requisitions to ensure achievement of maximum competitive bids and compliance of PPRA rules with respect to specifications and/or terms & conditions
  • Ensure compliance with the company's policy, regulatory requirements, and PPRA Rules by reviewing each stage of the procurement process and requesting the necessary approvals
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Review technical evaluations by indenting departments to ensure compliance of PPRA rules and tender terms & conditions
  • Conduct periodic review/updating of Procurement Policy, Procurement Manual & SOPs to ensure alignment with PPRA Rules
  • Ensure timely payment to suppliers and live up to the expectations of all stakeholders

Education


  • Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution / equivalent foreign degree holder, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering or related filed
  • Additionally, must be MCIPS from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply

Experience


  • Minimum 6-8 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 4-6 years of related functional experience in a similar role at a senior equivalent position or one position below.

Requirements


  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring that all assignments are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Familiarity with document management systems and electronic filing
  • Work with team members to complete duties as needed

Age


  • The candidate should be preferably not more than 40 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
