What is MBU Tech/Engr?
MBU Tech/Engr is a field resource who looks after Access Network Operations of cell sites within a particular cluster/business unit in line with business goals and company strategy, and assists the MBU Lead on assigned MBU targets.
Main tasks include customer complaints handling (Corporate & Commercial), vendor performance management for cell site operations, and achieving all KPI targets assigned to the MBU, including PM execution, fuel management, TCH, DCR, CSSR, and network availability.
The role reports directly to the Zonal Manager, Technology Operations, Central-4.


What does MBU Tech/Engr do?


  • Maintain TCH availability above 99% every month.
  • Ensure maximum availability of sites within the MBU jurisdiction.
  • PM/CM management and ensure strict checks and audits to ensure that processes run smoothly as per SOPs, with no slippages.
  • Strong follow-up with vendors to resolve all BSS and TXN issues as per SLA.
  • Conduct spot audits and strict checks on vendors regarding human/material resources within MBUs and SOP compliance.
  • Perform vendor resources competence gap analysis and take timely actions to address shortcomings.
  • Resolve Sales & Corporate complaints of the assigned MBU within 24 hours.
  • Maintain customer complaint SLA above 95% and resolve within 24 hours.
  • Facilitate the sales team on all technical issues, with strong coordination to ensure every complaint is resolved on time to achieve mutual targets.

Requirements


What are we looking for and what does it require to be MBU Tech/Engr?


  • BSc. Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Telecom with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • B Tech with a minimum of 4 years of experience in telecommunications field operations.
  • Expertise in BSS and TXN operations on BTS cell sites. 2G, 3G, 4G BTS/MW hardware configurations, troubleshooting, and installations.
  • Expertise in power infrastructure on BTS cell sites, both AC & DC, rectifiers, and RMS troubleshooting.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of telco and non-telco equipment, management, and execution.
  • Customer-centric approach to identify and fix network issues.
  • Flexibility in working hours in case of operational emergencies.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in small to medium-level team management.
  • Good reporting skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, and an out-of-the-box thinker.
