Position Description
Position Title: Security Manager – India
Division: India Global Security
Location: Hyderabad
Reports: Director of Regional Security APAC
General Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Regional Security for APAC, the Security Manager INDIA is responsible for managing the WBD Security Programme in the INDIA offices. This means managing the guard force, ensuring the offices have appropriate security, are ready to respond to incidents/events to keep staff safe, our business running, and our reputation intact.
This role will also supervise the Security Operations Centre based in Hyderabad and work closely with the Global Threat Analysis Centre (GTAC) in Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Manager Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the main POC for all security incidents, concerns, and management of WBD INDIA offices
- Manage the INDIA Security program aligned with WBD Corporate Security policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement localised security operations and procedure manuals as required.
- Support access card processes.
- Local security vendor management, including oversight of the guard force.
- Annually review all security guarding and monitoring procedures and update them as required. Manage and maintain a good working relationship with the contracted guard force supplier and be able to rectify issues and challenge when required, to ensure the highest levels of service. Manage on a day to day basis the guarding budget in India.
- Oversee security budget, to ensure expenditures remain within the allotted budget allocation.
- Manage investigations across the INDIA offices, consulting with key partners, as necessary.
- Support management of security incidents in INDIA offices
- Develop relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Facilitate security support for news-gathering teams in India.
- Support the Regional Security Director APAC as needed.
SOC Manager Tasks include but not limited to :
- Prepare, implement and manage appropriate SOPs for the monitoring of regional sites, including site specific response and escalation procedures.
- Oversee the remote CCTV and access control monitoring of the WBD offices in APAC. Ensuring the Safety & Security of our people, business and assets at all times.
- Manage the initial response to incidents either physically in India or remotely elsewhere. Ensuring that the correct escalation procedures are established and followed.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationships with the WBD GTAC staff and work closely with the GTAC manager.
- Develop relationships with P&C, International Facilities and administrative staff in APAC Region. Ensuring that a collaborative team environment is established and maintained.
- Assist as needed with the access control and card management system.
Required Experience:
- Strong background in Corporate Security.
- Experience of Managing an India wide security programme.
- Strong demonstrated experience in the delivery of efficient security programmes.
- Strong demonstarted experience at managing a SOC team
- WIDE Knowledge of various security systems i.e. access control and CCTV systems
- Business acumen with capability in the contract management of suppliers.
- Project management – previous experience of delivering projects on budget/time.
- Able to create activity reports, proposals and to track budgets.
- Ability to effectively, and diplomatically, deal with a wide range of situations and personalities.
- Effective communication skills and experience building and maintaining successful relationships with both internal and external customers, at all levels.
- Resilience under pressure and ability to deal promptly and effectively with conflict.
- Sound judgement and decision making – make good decisions.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Corporate security experience in a media company preferred
- Degree educated.
- Security qualifications; technical or physical.
- Crisis management experience and/or resilience-related qualifications.
