About the job MANAGER, OPERATIONS

COMPANY OVERVIEW


Our Client, a Karachi based newly established FinTech company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:


As the Manager, Operations, you will report to Head of Operations, and will drive the companys backbone, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead efforts to streamline backend operations processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficient solutions to enhance scalability and productivity
  • Ensure all customer and merchant related operations including funds management, transactions, disputes handling, reconciliations, payments, settlements etc. are managed within the approved turnaround time TATs
  • Ensure all key processes are automated with minimal human intervention and all key processes with financial involvement have defined maker checker roles
  • Supervise and mentor a team of backend operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and alignment with company goals
  • Oversee the implementation of backend systems and tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to maintain accuracy and reliability in backend operations, conducting regular audits and performance evaluations
  • Manage data integrity and security in backend systems, implementing protocols and controls to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Generate regular reports on backend operations performance metrics, analyzing trends and providing insights to inform strategic decision-making and business growth

Education


  • Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder preferably in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, IT, Database Management, or any relevant field.

Experience


  • Minimum 6-7 years of professional experience, preferably at a fintech start up or a large national / multinational organization with at least 2-5 years of demonstrated related functional experience.

Requirements


  • Proven experience in financial operations roles, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and deliver results
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Proficiency in backend systems and tools, with experience in system implementation and optimization
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs

Age


The candidate should be preferably not more than 35 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
