The Aga Khan University’s Digital Health Resource Centre is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic Senior Project Coordinator for the mobile health research project. 


This is a grant funded contractual position.


ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:


  • identify and keep track of new and upcoming and potential opportunities
  • suggest strategic ways in which AKDN dHRC can grow and expand its business portfolio
  • work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective, high-quality proposals
  • draft and review grants and business proposals to produce high-quality proposals
  • manage internal approvals on the Peoplesoft Grants Checklist platform (PURE) are complete and approved as per University policy
  • keep track of and ensure timely submission of applications for upcoming funding and grant opportunities in
  • coordination with key stakeholders and partner agencies like AKFC
  • serve as departmental liaison to the University grants and research administration team
  • coordinate with AKU and AKDN communications to promote the Center’s work
  • draft, design and develop reports and materials including project and donor reports, newsletters, annual reports,
  • promotional videos and other items, as required for dissemination through AKU’s Communications department
  • disseminate and promote TISC activities across AKU and AKDN entities and beyond through relevant Communications teams
  • develop content for digital health projects and programmes
  • submit all final proposals/application to the grant/donor agencies for funding opportunities; and 
  • design, develop and manage the implementation of Gender Equality Strategies for projects
  • develop and manage the implementation of donor-funded project plans
  • liaise with donor agencies to ensure project deliverable timelines are met
  • draft and review project MOUs and agreements in coordination with the Legal Office
  • coordinate with the M&E team to ensure M&E activities for projects are on track
  • coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth events
  • arrange logistics for all events
  • manage and maintain documents for the AKU Innovation Committee meetings, newsletter dissemination and other items;
  • manage and maintain documents for the AKDN Digital Health Governance Committee meetings

RequirementsYou should have:


  • a Master’s degree from an accredited college/university. 
  • at least six years’ experience in successful proposal/grant development and developing high-quality content
  • excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong organizational skills, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
  • ability to work well with multidisciplinary teams
  • ability to work autonomously in scheduling and prioritizing within tight deadlines with focus on the work product
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
