Description :Grade Level: L3Location: IslamabadApply by: 10th Jan, 2025RoleThe Manager Governance will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining governance frameworks and processes within Jazz Enterprise Solutions department, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and compliance with organizational policies while supporting business growth objectives. The role includes critical oversight of bid participation decisions and vendor management to protect Jazz's interests.Key ResponsibilitiesBid Risk Management & Assessment Develop and implement a comprehensive bid risk assessment framework to evaluate potential risks in customer bids and tenders Establish clear criteria for bid/no-bid decisions based on risk factors including: Customer payment history and financial stability Solution delivery capabilities and resource availability Compliance requirements and regulatory obligations Vendor capabilities and track record Conduct thorough risk assessments for high-value or complex bids before participation Maintain documentation of bid risk assessments and decisions for audit purposes Vendor Management & Payment Risk Establish frameworks to assess vendor capabilities, financial stability, and compliance Develop processes to ensure vendor-customer payment terms alignment to protect Jazz's financial interests Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations Create and maintain vendor risk assessment documentation Implement early warning systems for potential vendor-related risks Process Governance & Optimization Design and implement comprehensive governance frameworks for key business processes including customer onboarding, contract management, and service activation Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and risk mitigation Monitor and optimize existing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions Create and maintain documentation for all governance-related processes and procedures Contract Management & Compliance Oversee the contract management lifecycle, ensuring all services are properly documented and stored in the central contract repository Collaborate with legal, data protection, and other relevant teams to review and validate contracts Develop and implement contract management policies and procedures Monitor contract compliance and maintain proper documentation Risk Management & Audit Work closely with Enterprise Risk Management team to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements Develop and implement controls to prevent revenue leakage Conduct regular audits of business processes and recommend improvements Establish risk mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities Financial Oversight Review business cases and margin analysis in coordination with Financial Planning & Analysis team Monitor and report on key governance metrics and KPIs Develop frameworks for pricing and discount governance Support revenue optimization initiatives Assess financial risks in customer payment terms and vendor contracts Stakeholder Management Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Risk Management, and Business Units Prepare and present governance reports to senior management Facilitate governance-related meetings and working groups Provide training and guidance on governance matters to relevant stakeholders Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field 7+ years of relevant experience in governance, risk management, or compliance roles Experience in commercial roles of telecom sector Strong understanding of business processes and internal controls Proven experience in bid risk assessment and vendor management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities Desired Skills & Competencies Knowledge of governance frameworks and best practices Strong understanding of risk management principles and risk assessment methodologies Experience with vendor management and procurement processes Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to influence and drive change across organizations Process optimization and documentation expertise Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of telecom industry risks and compliance requirements Additional InformationReports to: Head of Pricing, Proposals and GovernanceBenefitsWhy Join Jazz?As one of the leading employers in the country, Jazz epitomizes the philosophy that each Jazz employee is passionately living a better every day inspired and enabled by visionary leadership, a unique professional culture, a flourishing lifestyle, and continuous learning and development.
