What is Manager Gaming & Esports?
We are seeking a Manager Gaming & Esports to join our team and take on a crucial role in establishing and expanding relationships with local and global gaming and esports partners. This resource will play a key part in utilizing digital data interpretation tools and developing effective gaming business strategies. The ideal candidate should understand the gaming industry and be familiar with the gaming ecosystem in both local and global landscapes. Additionally, knowledge of Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) and gaming voucher/wallet models is required. Prior experience in managing Gaming, esports, game publishing and Gaming Ads models will be preferred coupled with a strong analytical, product management & development skillset.

- Comprehensive Gaming Product Strategy: Lead the vision and execution of a forward-thinking gaming product strategy closely aligned with our corporate goals. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, precisely targeting audience segments and staying ahead of competitive trends. Bring expertise in the gaming and game publishing ecosystem to drive revenue growth and market leadership.
- Monetization and Revenue Generation: Drive sustainable revenue growth through innovative monetization strategies, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, and tailored advertising for local and global markets. Understand and implement various business models, balancing profitability with an optimal user experience to maximize engagement and lifetime value.
- User Engagement, Experience, and Retention: Foster deep user engagement and retention by leveraging data-driven insights into user behavior and feedback. Continuously refine gameplay and features to elevate the user experience, integrating gamification, social elements, and regular content updates. Implement hands-on initiatives to maintain high engagement, optimize user journeys, and boost retention metrics.
- Strategic Partnerships and Business Development: Build and maintain influential relationships with game developers, publishers, influencers, and esports organizations to broaden the gaming ecosystem. Lead negotiations, secure collaboration opportunities, and initiate co-marketing efforts, adding substantial value to the GameNow platform. Expertise in fostering industry alliances and executing contractual negotiations is essential.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Act as an industry expert, tracking gaming trends, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape. Maintain a proactive pulse on both the Pakistan and global gaming markets, identifying emerging platforms and top game releases to inform strategy. Leverage this knowledge to ensure our products stay competitive and cutting-edge.
- Performance Tracking and Data Analytics: Utilize advanced analytics tools to track performance metrics, including revenue, user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Actively interpret data to identify actionable insights, refining the product strategy and continuously optimizing for growth. An analytical, results-oriented mindset is key to drive continuous improvement.
- Targeted User Acquisition and Marketing: Design and execute robust user acquisition strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Use a hands-on approach to identify target segments, enhance app store listings, manage digital marketing campaigns, and drive social media engagement. An entrepreneurial spirit in building user growth initiatives is crucial.
- Cross-functional Collaboration and Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, customer support, and business intelligence, to align and execute the gaming product strategy seamlessly. Leverage feedback and insights to ensure all efforts support overall goals, coordinating initiatives with a focus on driving value at every touchpoint.
- Strategic Business Case & Presentations: Develop compelling business cases and presentations for executives, articulating growth strategies, performance projections, and key opportunities. Strong presentation and storytelling skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be a Manager Gaming & Esports?
- Expertise in Monetization Models: In-depth understanding of gaming monetization, including in-app purchases, subscription models, and advertising through both local and global channels. Knowledge of gaming ad revenue models, including rewarded ads, interstitials, and native ads, tailored to maximize revenue without compromising user experience.
- Strategic Partnership Management: Demonstrated experience in building and managing partnerships with game developers, publishers, influencers, and esports organizations. Ability to negotiate contracts, foster collaboration, and execute co-marketing initiatives to broaden the platform's reach.
- Comprehensive Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the gaming industry, including game genres, platforms, trends, and player demographics. Strong awareness of the competitive landscape to drive innovative product strategies.
- Familiarity with Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of cutting-edge gaming technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and cloud gaming, and how these can be integrated into a gaming platform to enhance user experiences.
- Data-driven decision-making: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Analytics for Games, Firebase, and advanced analytics platforms like Adjust, Appsflyer, and Mixpanel. Ability to derive actionable insights from user data and gaming metrics to optimize revenue and inform product strategy.
- Advertising Platforms and Ad Tech Expertise: Strong understanding of advertising platforms and tools for gaming, including Google Ads, Facebook Audience Network, AppLovin, Mintegral, IronSource, Unity Ads, and AdMob. Proven experience in implementing and optimizing ad placements, leveraging programmatic advertising, and maximizing yield through local and global campaigns.
- Product Management and Development: Proven track record in end-to-end product management, with experience in product lifecycle, feature optimization, and delivering exceptional user experiences. Ability to work hands-on with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into scalable solutions.
- Creative and Innovative Mindset: A forward-thinking approach with a passion for delivering unique, memorable gaming experiences. Capable of creating product features and engagement strategies that captivate users and differentiate GameNow in the market.
- Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in the gaming industry, with hands-on experience in game studios, game publishing, and app growth. Background in gaming demonstrated success in driving user engagement and revenue growth is essential.
