Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the movement of vehicles, equipment, and materials within the yard to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Manage the scheduling, loading, and unloading of deliveries and shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
Ensure that the yard is organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve hazards.
Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to coordinate logistics and maintain smooth yard operations.
Track and report on the status of yard activities, including inventory levels, vehicle movements, and operational efficiency.
Supervise yard personnel, providing training and guidance on safety procedures and operational best practices.
Ensure that all equipment in the yard is properly maintained and report any mechanical issues for repair.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yard layout, material flow, and operational processes.
