Position: Lead, Training Development & Partnerships
Location: Karachi Office
Qualification:
Minimum Bachelors preferably in HR
Experience:
At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in training and development;
Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity;
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of industry specific mining standards and familiarity with Mining related legislation and standards;
Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs;
Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools, virtual training platforms and simulation tools;
Strong management and coordination experience in leading a team of trainers and external service providers and partnering organizations.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement training programs that are tailored to the mining industry and aligned with RDMCs operations needs and regulatory requirements. This will include the provision of leadership, technical and general training at site;
Ensure all training programs meet local, international and Barrick regulations and standards through the effective maintenance and periodic audit of training records, certifications and licenses of employees;
Develop programs for upskilling and reskilling of employees to meet the evolving technology and practices of the mining industry as well as providing leadership and management development aimed at succession planning and the development of future Baloch leaders;
Develop programs aimed at creating a feeder stream of technical skills, at varying levels of experience, into the organization;
Stakeholder engagement and Partnering:
Internal: Collaborate with department heads to identify operational and leadership training needs for current and future development purposes;
External: Identify and collaborate with external training providers and accreditation bodies to deliver on the training and development needs of RDMC;
Community: Engage and collaborate with community stakeholder groups e.g. CDC and Hunar Foundation, to identify training initiatives that will benefit community members and provide access to employment opportunities with RDMC and our contracting partners e.g. Gasco or SKB etc.
Develop the annual training and development budget and ensure cost effective training delivery through the use of multi-medium training resources e.g. e-learning, simulators, OTJ training etc.;
Define and monitor KPIs for training effectiveness and generate data driven reporting to be used for purposes including but not limited to i) reporting to senior management, ii) refinement of training programs and iii) training effectiveness;
Implement digital learning tools and platforms to stay updated with industry advancements in training and development e.g. VR, simulations and AI/ML solutions.
