As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Global Banking Platform team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Java
- Work with different aspects of domain level architecture with experience in API and performance scalability
- Work with business analysts and lead engineers to understand requirements and designs for implementing software solutions
- Design and Develop applications in AWS using Kubernetes, Kafka and microservices architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Work experience on architecting and design solutions
- Hands-on practical experience in system design , application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages including Java
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment with Java, spring boot and other software languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience working in an Agile Software Development Environment

- Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes and Kafka
