As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Operations Technologies Service Product, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.
Job responsibilities
- Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develop and design architectural solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with the company's technology strategy.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet performance requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and technical specifications.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure that solutions comply with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information
- Promote best practices in software development and architecture, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
