Job Title: Internal Legal Counsel

Reports To: General Counsel / Head of Legal
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Internal Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will play a key role in reviewing and negotiating customer contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and other legal documents. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, finance, and operations, to ensure that contracts are legally sound, protect the company's interests, and comply with relevant regulations. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate with a strong academic record and a passion for contract law.
Responsibilities:
Contract Review and Negotiation:
- Review and analyze customer contracts, MSAs, and other legal documents.
- Identify and assess legal risks and opportunities within contracts.
- Negotiate contract terms with customers and partners to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Draft and revise contract clauses to ensure clarity and enforceability.
Legal Advice and Guidance:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
- Advise on legal issues related to sales, marketing, and business operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Legal Research:
- Conduct legal research on relevant topics and stay up-to-date on legal developments.
- Prepare legal memoranda and opinions on various legal issues.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on contract terms.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Experience: Fresh graduate to less than 1 year of experience in a related field (internships considered).
Skills:
- Strong analytical and legal research skills: Ability to analyze complex legal documents and conduct thorough legal research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Able to effectively communicate legal concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills: Able to effectively negotiate contract terms and find solutions to legal challenges.
- Attention to detail: Highly accurate and meticulous in reviewing and drafting legal documents.
- Knowledge of contract law: Solid understanding of contract law principles and best practices.
