HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY & DATA MANAGEMENT (DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER)

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our Client, a Karachi based newly established FinTech company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:

As a Head of Technology & Data Management, as a key member of our leadership team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological and data-driven landscape of our fintech venture. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing our technology and data strategy, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and in compliance with industry and regulators standards and regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of our technology and data strategy, aligning it with our business objectives and growth plans
• Define complete technology stack and provide a complete migration plan of customers from closed loop to open loop environment
• Oversee the development and maintenance of software and hardware infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, efficient, and reliable
• Establish data governance practices and standards to safeguard data integrity and compliance
• Ensure implementation of robust system for cybersecurity
• Lead and act as the primary system administrator, overseeing all functions of network administrators, security administrator, data base administrator and servers administrator
• Lead the technology audit of partners and service providers and ensure audit and health checks of not only system but processes, HR and financial aspects of service providers
• Act as the focal point for the regulator from technology compliance perspective
• Integrate new tech platforms and products into existing platform in order to ensure compliance to best industry practices and provide a seamless experience to consumers
• Implement data analytics and business intelligence solutions to drive data-driven decision-making
• Develop and monitor the business continuity plan (BCP) and ensure regular DR drills and effective data replication across platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver technology solutions that meet business requirements
• Collaborate with external partnersand service providers to optimize technology and data management

Education

• Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder preferably in MIS, Computer Sciences, IT, Database Management, Business Administration and / or any relevant field.

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience at a startup or a large national/multinational organization in a technology and data management role involving consumer facing technology
• Ideal candidate should have worked in the payment industry either at a fintech or at a bank
• At least 5-7 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position or in one level below position (with Program management team)

Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Ability to excel in a dynamic, evolving and fast paced start up environment
• Extensive experience in technology strategy development, implementation, and project management
• In-depth knowledge of data management, including data governance, data quality, and data analytics
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the financial sector
• Excellent leadership and strategic decision-making skills
• Demonstrated experience in managing key stakeholders and government relationships

Age

The candidate should be preferably not more than 45 years of age as of last date of submission of application
