Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- administratively lead Pediatric Ward from the nursing perspective
- manage 24/7 staffing scheduling as per the hospital standards set for assuring quality and safe patient care
- remain available for shift schedule as per needs
- exhibit excellent management in executing quality patient care
- ensure that physician rounds for all patients are completed and the patients are reviewed and monitored for the treatment modalities and patient regimens are being accurately followed
- meet regularly with patients and/or families to resolve complaints and issues relating to care and other concern
- collaborate with all support service department to ensure quality care and meet requirements of patients in time
- work with multidisciplinary teams on quality projects / circles to improve unit core processes
- establish and ensure that unit-based standards, goals, objectives and priorities are prepared and monitor against the standards
- encourage creativity, initiative and innovativeness in nursing staffs mentor nursing workforce for provision of good services and staff development
- coordinate with various stakeholders for provision of services and strive for continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
You should have:
- a BScN or Post-RN BScN degree from an accredited school, preferably with a MScN or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines and a valid license from the Pakistan Nursing Council
- at least five to seven years of relevant experience, of which two years of experience should be at a nursing management level
- certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation, and Pediatrics Resuscitation Program
- excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
- willingness to work in shift duties (mornings, evenings and nights).
