Global Mile Manager

We're hiring a Global Mile Manager - Cross-Border Logistics 

Client Company Introduction:

Our Client company is a leading B2B Marketplace for vintage and second-hand fashion, connecting suppliers and buyers across global markets. Logistics and shipping are core to our success. We aim to make shipping a key value proposition for both our buyers and sellers by ensuring speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.



We are looking for a Global Mile Manager to lead and optimize our cross-border shipping and logistics operations. This role focuses on making our supply chain faster, more reliable, and cost-efficient by working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), negotiating partnerships, and driving process improvements. This is a leadership role, where the individual will manage and inspire a team, research industry innovations, and challenge conventional logistics practices to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end global shipping and logistics strategy, ensuring efficiency, cost savings, and scalability.
• Manage and optimize partnerships with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PLs to improve transit times and reduce costs.
• Develop innovative shipping models that provide a competitive advantage for our marketplace.
• Drive data-based decision-making, continuously monitoring key metrics such as lead times, landed costs, and fulfillment efficiency.
• Research what startups and disruptors are doing in logistics and explore how emerging trends can be applied to improve our supply chain.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing logistics team, ensuring operational excellence and a culture of continuous learning.
• Work closely with internal teams (Ops, Product, Demand, and Finance) to align logistics strategy with overall business goals.
• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, challenging the status quo to constantly improve our shipping operations.
• Develop and implement scalable systems that ensure reliability as we grow.

What We're Looking For

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills - someone who constantly questions why things are done a certain way and seeks better alternatives.
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management is a plus but not mandatory. A highly inquisitive mind is essential.
• Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and 3PLs.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze costs, lead times, and shipping efficiency metrics.
• Proven leadership experience - someone who can build, manage, and inspire a team while driving operational excellence.
• Strong research skills - keeping up with innovations in logistics and how startups are solving global supply chain challenges.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes full ownership of their domain.

Definition: Experienced manager leading a team of professionals responsible for driving metrics and building new processes through tactical planning

Problem solving: Process improvement for better delivery of tactical goals typically influencing own and other areas

Knowledge: Requires technical depth in own area as well as knowledge of other functional areas & the overall business

Pay scale: Market Competitive

Job Mode: Full Time Onsite
