Qualification CA (Chartered Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification is mandatory or graduate degree in finance.
Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in working within accounting function
  • Experience in SAP

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and departments.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and improving cost control processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Responsibilities
  • Review the purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoices posted to make sure the costs are reported into correct costs codes.
  • Review of PRs and Pos to make sure the appropriate budget is available against the PRs/POs;
  • Prepare working papers and journal entries for complex accounting transactions like IFRS 16, prepayments and inventories.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, review costs for completeness, and evaluate reasonableness of balances to research and proactively resolve errors or reconciling items.
  • Establish knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and Barrick accounting policies, procedures, and internal control standards, and maintain compliance while performing responsibilities
  • Facilitating preparation, consolidation, and review of all budget and forecast processes. 
  • Collects/organizes financial information and inputs into financial models.
  • Track and determine financial status by analysing actual results in comparison with budgets/forecasts, including variance commentary.
  • Create ad hoc templates, reports, and analysis for use by managers/departments to evaluate their businesses.
  • Track and report capital expenditures to project owners, budget/forecast capital projections, review financial analysis and modelling for requested spend.
  • Work closely with project teams as needed.
  • Recognize and communicate potential issues to his/her supervisor, as appropriate 
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and safety training requirements.
