ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled SEO Executive with a minimum of 4 years of experience in FMCG (fast paced Consumer Goods) and E-commerce industries. As an SEO Executive, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day SEO activities of the company, driving organic traffic, and optimizing website performance & collaborating with multi-functional teams, including marketing, content, and development, to ensure SEO alignment and integration. Your role will involve keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, and analyzing SEO metrics. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SEO principles, experience in FMCG/e-commerce, and proficiency in SEO analytics tools.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- On-page and off-page optimization:
- Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords and phrases for optimization.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headings, and URLs to improve search engine rankings and user experience.
- Implement off-page optimization strategies to improve website authority and visibility, including link building, social bookmarking, and directory submissions.
- Optimizing image filenames, alt tags, and descriptions to improve accessibility, user experience, and potential keyword relevance.
- Ensuring a flawless and user-friendly website experience by optimizing page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall site architecture.
- Technical SEO analysis:
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve website issues impacting organic search performance (e.g., crawl errors, site speed, indexing issues).
- Optimize website structure, URLs, and internal linking to improve crawlability and inflexibility.
- Collaborate with web developers to implement technical SEO recommendations and ensure website compliance with search engine guidelines.
- Implementing proper canonical tags to address duplicate content issues and consolidate ranking signals for preferred versions of webpages.
- Analyzing website performance and page load times to find opportunities for optimization.
- SEO analytics and reporting:
- Use SEO analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SEMrush, Conductor) to track, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics, such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, backlinks, and conversion rates.
- Monitor and report on competitor SEO activities and industry trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize SEO strategies and improve website performance.
- Compiling and preparing regular reports on SEO performance to provide insights and updates to partners.
- Analyzing user behavior data and conversion funnels to understand the efficiency of SEO in driving conversions and revenue.
- Collaborating with other teams to conduct A/B tests or experiments to assess the impact of SEO changes on website performance.
- SEO strategy and planning:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SEO strategies in line with business goals and standard processes.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry changes.
- Provide input and recommendations for website structure, information architecture, and content development to improve SEO performance.
- Collaborating with partners to establish clear and measurable goals for the SEO campaign.
- Developing a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and target audience.
- Collaborating with content creators to develop a content strategy that aligns with the SEO goals and target keywords.
- Developing a local SEO strategy for businesses with a physical presence in specific locations.
- Collaborative multi-functional partnerships:
- Work closely with the marketing, web development, and content teams to ensure SEO efforts align with overall marketing strategies and website goals.
- Collaborate with content creators to identify content gaps and opportunities for SEO optimization.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 4 years of SEO experience, focusing on FMCG and e-commerce industries.
- Consistent record of driving successful SEO strategies and improving organic search performance.
- Proficiency in using SEO analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SEMrush).
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, techniques, and standard methodologies.
- Experience with website optimization, including on-page and off-page SEO factors.
- Familiarity with technical SEO aspects and website development concepts.
