1. VMware Cloud and OpenShift Automation:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for provisioning, configuration, and management of VMware Cloud Infrastructure and OpenShift clusters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of VMware and OpenShift solutions into our overall architecture.
2. CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Develop, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of infrastructure changes.
- Implement best practices for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
3. Cloud Service Additions:
- Work closely with development teams to understand requirements for new services and features.
- Automate the deployment and scaling of cloud services, ensuring high availability and performance for both VMware and OpenShift platforms.
4. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Establish monitoring and alerting systems for VMware Cloud Infrastructure and OpenShift clusters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployment processes.
5. Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure configurations.
6. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and security professionals, to achieve project goals.
- Participate in regular meetings and provide expertise on VMware, OpenShift, and related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- · Proven experience of more than 4 years as a VMware and OpenShift DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- · In-depth knowledge of VMware Cloud Infrastructure, OpenShift, vSphere, and related technologies.
- · Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
- · Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- · Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- · Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and OpenShift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- · VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or VCDX).
- · OpenShift certifications (OCP or equivalent).
- · Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- · Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- · Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
