What is Expert Category Procurement – Power & Passive Infrastructure?
This role revolves around procurement of solution and services pertaining to Power systems related to Access and Core locations, including Rectifiers, UPSs, Batteries, Generators, Solar solutions, HVAC and Data Centers infrastructure. Also the solutions related to site infrastructure (core and access) deployment solutions and services. The candidate would be required to have ample technical knowledge and understanding of afore-stated solutions and services and can visualize the future of this procurement category. The candidate will be required to drive the category and help Category Manager achieve short and long term goals.
The role reports directly to Category Manager Power & Passive Infrastructure.
What does Expert Category Procurement – Power & Passive Infrastructure do?
Plan and formulate procurement requirements from different stakeholders:
· Analyze requests and collaborates with relevant stakeholders to devise relevant solutions/sourcing.
· Negotiate with vendors for procuring goods/ services as per received requirements.
· Foster healthy relationship with vendors and resolves any queries/issues within specified timelines.
· Collaborate with contract management team to finalize draft of legal contract with vendors.
· Liaison with Service Operations to prepare PO’s and eventual sharing with vendors.
· Exhibit Business oriented and customer-centric mindset.
Develop a Procurement Calendar in his/her domain:
· In collaboration with relevant stakeholders prepare a detailed view of Procurement Master Plan (Souring Calendar) with clear working of budget, baseline and targeted costs.
· Tracking of Projects/Tasks on daily, weekly and monthly basis on a digital portal/dashboard.
Develop Vendor Assessment and Scoring criteria:
· Plan, develop, and execute the project (Complete RFP/Q Lifecycle).
· Preparation of complete commercial evaluation (TCO) and QES comprising of techno-commercial.
· BOQ Alignments against the Frame Agreements.
· Prepare Bulk purchase agreements and maintain catalogue-based PO issuance.
· Price verifications and Negotiations.
· Preparing of Dashboard and KPI reporting on weekly basis
Procurement Diagnostics for the Category:
· Based on the commitments issued in two (2) quarters, prepare a thorough category diagnostics which can be used to prepare comprehensive strategy of the Category. This will become a ready reference for all our procurement category project pipeline and optimization targets planning and analysis.
Well versed with Digital tools:
· Oracle ERP (ESS/Fusion), purchasing module – should be capable to prepare and initiate a Tender/RFx on oracle ESS/Fusion and able to conduct e-Auction using Oracle procurement module on ESS/Fusion.
· SAP Ariba Contract Management Module – The candidate needs to have adequate hands-on experience on this module for creating Contract Request Workspace and should be able to conduct and complete contract normalization/negotiations on this module.
· MS 0365 Tools and Analytical skills – it’s a must for the candidate to be well versed with use of Excel, power point, think cell, power BI and its analytics.
Prepare a Negotiation Strategy for bids that fall under complex category:
· Build a strong relationship with End User and be able to translate their requirements into procurement plans.
· Conduct budget analysis with team and prepare reports inclusive of spending/saving, shares with management and explains rationale behind it.
· Thorough market research
· Preparing monthly and YTD spend & saving report.
· Conducting an interactive sourcing process along with end user and external stakeholders.
· Achieving savings target as mentioned in the agreed tender mandate.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Category Procurement – IT & Digital?
· MBA/B.S/B.E/BSc-Engg IT/Telecom/SW with 3~4 years of relevant experience in Mobile Network/Technology Procurement.
· Preference will be give to prior working in a Technology related role (preferably in a Mobile Operator/Vendor) with clear understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G Technology network elements and vendor market.
· Analytical, modelling and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
· Being part of a Sourcing team in a reputable organization the candidate must have good experience of negotiating contracts and well versed with global best practices.
· Negotiation skills, conflict and vendor management skills. Able to manager internal stakeholders.
· Team work, problem solving, planning and organizing skills.
· Knowledge and roadmaps of technology networks.
· Technology procurement process knowledge.
· Vendor market and industry knowledge.
· ERP Systems, Microsoft Office/Excel, Oracle EBS, SAP Ariba, share-point and PBI etc.
