Executive - Terminal Operations - Rail & Inland Terminals - Hyderabad

As a Fertilizer Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations related to the storage, handling, and distribution of fertilizer products. You will ensure that inventory levels are maintained, safety protocols are followed, and operational efficiency is optimized. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:
   • Maintain accurate records of fertilizer inventory levels, including incoming shipments, outgoing orders, and stock counts.
   • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses due to spoilage, theft, or mismanagement.
   • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fertilizer products and resolve any discrepancies in shipments.
2. Warehouse Operations:
   • Supervise warehouse staff, including inventory clerks, and laborers, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
   • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the handling, storage, and distribution of fertilizer products.
   • Monitor warehouse activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
3. Quality Assurance:
   • Conduct regular inspections of fertilizer products to ensure quality standards are met and address any issues promptly.
   • Implement quality control measures to prevent contamination, cross-contamination, or deterioration of stored inventory.
   • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any product quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
4. Safety and Compliance:
   • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental hazards.
   • Conduct safety training sessions for warehouse staff on proper handling techniques and emergency procedures.
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as OSHA standards and environmental regulations, pertaining to fertilizer storage and handling.
5. Team Leadership:
   • Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
   • Set performance goals and objectives for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback for development.
   • Resolve conflicts or issues within the team in a timely and effective manner, promoting a positive work environment.
