This role is responsible for streamlining the process of logistics and to provide support to the planning function with
respect to the shipments and timely delivery of goods. Activities and duties will vary depending upon the functional area
assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
● Obtain necessary approvals for procurement comparatives for timely shipment processing.
● Monitor and track flights, vessels, and pre-alerts for orders and shipments.
● Maintain a comprehensive tracker to ensure visibility of all in-transit shipments.
● Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness before forwarding to the clearing agent.
● Verify customs duties and submit payment order requests to the finance team.
● Review clearing agent bills to facilitate RTGS and other service payments.
● Provide all necessary documents to finance for remittance processing.
● Coordinate closely with clearing agents to ensure timely deliveries of shipments.
● Facilitate communication between departments to support smooth business operations.
● Prepare and submit the Goods-in-Transit (GIT) report before the month-end close.
● Collaborate with finance and banks for corrections to Financial Instruments (FIs).
● Handle additional tasks and reporting as assigned to support departmental objectives.
● Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across different areas of logistics.
● 4yrs Professional degree from HEC recognized university/institution (Business/Engineering/Statistics)
● Passion and commitment to learn and grow.
● Good knowledge of the process of customs clearance.
● 3-4 years experience in logistics/ Supply chain processes.
● Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Suite
● Successful and effective communicator.
● Time management and interpersonal skills.
