Responsibilities:Engineer in the engineer security role will be responsible to maintain the ongoing reliability, security, performance and support of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring the operating environments; responding to security incidents and problems. Infrastructure security engineer deploy the release of new technologies, security fixes, configure, maintain and perform testing of server operating systems and related utilities and hardware. You will be responsible for
- planning and executing IT infrastructure security projects.
- evaluating and recommending new security technologies and countermeasures against global information and privacy threats.
- coordinating with IT and business units on security concerns related to networks, infrastructure, and various projects.
- managing remediation efforts for security incidents, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests across all campuses.
- implementing the Security Incident and Threat Response process.
- deploying and operating Data Leakage Protection solutions.
- identifying and recommending tools, processes, software, and hardware to enhance or replace current security practices globally.
- conducting impact analysis of identified risks.
- proactively implementing security solutions to mitigate emerging threats.
- installing and utilizing software such as firewalls and data encryption programs to protect sensitive information.
- leading incident response activities to isolate and minimize impacts and facilitate restoration to normal operations.
- implementing security fixes in Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- ensuring high compliance with security patches across the organization using automated mechanisms like WSUS and SCCM.
- regularly deploying patches to servers to eliminate security risks.
- extractingactionable data from reports generated by security assessment tools, such as Tenable Nessus.
- monitoring networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions and install software to detect irregular behaviours.
- maintaining Antivirus solutions on all servers and user PCs to prevent malware infections.
- performingbackups of critical applications to ensure data safety and minimize recovery time in case of disasters.
Requirements:The incumbent must have:
- a bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
- at least 5 years relevant experience in the field of IT infrastructure and Systems security.
- hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls, SCCM, antivirus software, and SIEM systems (e.g., IBM QRadar).
- familiarity with risk assessment tools, disaster recovery, and forensic methodologies; experience in designing secure networks and policies.
- ability to lead forensic investigations and perform impact analysis of security risks.
- ability to multitask effectively and maintain strong relationships with co-workers and customers.
- quick learner of technical concepts, committed to continuous improvement and exceeding goals.
