Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

An Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations. This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and complying with safety and regulatory standards. The Electrical Technician works closely with other team members to support operational needs and optimize equipment performance.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to address technical issues.
• Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and safety of electrical systems.
• Maintain an inventory of electrical supplies and order necessary parts when required.

• Mean time to repair (MTTR) for electrical issues.
• Downtime caused by electrical failures.
• Compliance rate with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Number of safety incidents related to electrical tasks.
• Accuracy and completeness of maintenance records.
