Job Description


As Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms organization, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departmentsUtilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery. 


Job responsibilities


  • Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives
  • Manage multiple areas with strategic transactional focus
  • Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business
  • Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives
  • Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
  • Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
  • Experience designing and operating highly scalable and secure PKI infrastructures including certificate authorities, registration authorities, certificate revocation lists, and certificate management platforms
  • Extensive practical cloud native experience
  • Experience in modern architecture, distributed architecture, Rest and messaging frameworks like Kafka
  • Deep Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
  • Understanding of PKI and certificate life cycle management.
  • Hands on experience developing or leading large or cross-functional teams of technologist.
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across matrix organizations and delivering value at scale
  • Experience managing stakeholders, working with operations to gather requirements and negotiate projects scope
  • Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent. 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills


  • Deep knowledge of one or more PKI products like Active Directory Certificate Services, EJBCA, Keyfactor, AWS PCA.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud, azure policies, azure infrastructure as code or similar experience on AWS or GCP platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra Verified ID.
  • Deep knowledge of public cloud architectures patterns for security, identity, compliance.
  • Understanding of Production deployments of Azure services and solutions.
